Rolling
on a mat…
It is Saturday in sunny Palm Springs,
my laptop is on my lap and I am working on bringing you the best fat free website on the net! Exciting to think, that you,
my readers, will be enlightened to a new way of cooking low fat and fat free cuisine. I have many tips and suggestions to
help you along the way, and I can’t wait to share them with you. I am not a vegan, just a little Italian girl, with
a cookbook, a laptop, and a blog, who loves food and needs to keep her fat intake to a minimum!
I have always enjoyed cooking of all genres
and ethnic origins. My newest venture is sushi, naturally low in fat and so tasty. Wasabi is to die for, and I love the pickled
ginger! I purchased a rice cooker yesterday - my first step into ‘Sushi Chefdom’! I have a friend that is going
to teach me to roll on a mat…hmm…is this like yoga?! Let’s roll!!
If any of you have Shushi advice, please dish it
up!
Make it a
great day and a delicious life!
Epicuriously yours,
Melinda
Management
and Moderation
You have
heard the old adage, "everything in moderation"? I believe that to be true; so what does fat free cooking have to
do with moderation? Big picture view: everything you consume has fat in it. Just like calories, some of us need to count the
units of those to insure a healthy body. This does not translate into starving yourself of vital fats and nutrients, it means
monitoring intake. By reducing the bad fat content in selected areas of your diet you can better manage your health.
In short, do not cut all fat from your diet, just manage the intake of it wisely!
Epicuriously yours,
Melinda
